The 2020 Aged and Community Services Australia Recognition Program was initiated to express gratitude to those who went above and beyond to support older Australians, in lieu of the Annual Awards, which was cancelled due to Covid. The four themes of the Recognition Program were:
- Acts of Kindness
- Community Spirit
- Creativity
- Unsung Hero
Aged Care Support Worker, Jen Nicholls, was recognised to be one such individual by her colleagues, being acknowledged under the theme, Acts of Kindness. Jen has made such an impression on the people she supports, that they often take the time to pass on messages that she provides amazing support, is calming, reassuring and exemplary.
