A Massive Thank You to Share the Dignity
Jason Burgess made a bee line across the car park to find out what was happening when he spotted Toni Carrigan and her daughter Kelsey unpacking stacks of handbags from their car. Toni explained that she had collected the bags as part of Share the Dignity - a women’s charity that makes a real, on-the-ground difference for girls and women experiencing homelessness, domestic violence and period poverty. Toni said she had reached out to friends, family, her school in Ocean Reef (St. Simon Peter) and the wider community to collect the bags for young women at Kira House. Toni also made sure that the babies were not left out and organised for some baby bags to be gifted to young mothers at Kira House.
Kira House would like to thank Toni and everyone who contributed to this project. We would also like to extend a special thanks to Share the Dignity for all the support we have received over the years.
