The award was instigated in 2016 in memory of our former Chairperson Anna, and the example she set in demonstrating the values that are important to Rise.
In the lead up to the Anna Alderson Awards we’ll be announcing one nominee each weekday. The winners will be announced at our end of year event.
The first nominee is:
Senior Payroll Officer
Welcoming & Optimism
“Tracey is a highly respected member of the payroll team who works extremely hard to achieve positive outcomes for the organisation. Tracey demonstrates the value of welcoming in each encounter I have had with her. She is highly approachable and makes you feel that you have been listened to as well as offering her professional advice to come up with a solution to issues I have raised. Tracey’s behaviours are consistent even if the issue is going to impact her significantly, rather than complaining the mindset Tracey shows is what can we do to minimise this happening again in the future as well as what can we do in the interim to solve the issue. Further to this Tracey also demonstrates the value of optimism in the workplace by again being positive and coming with a solution mindset that is going to benefit Rise.
Tracey is a real pleasure to work with and I feel that she goes well beyond her role to make you feel welcomed in the office, even if she is in the middle of doing something. She is very polite and often puts others first for e.g. wanting to help with a solution to my many problems even when it’s pay week.
I want to thank Tracey for not only being a great person to work with on a culture sense, but her professionalism and knowledge are of a high nature. I look forward to building on our working relationship and I believe she would be a fantastic candidate for the Anna Alderson Award.”
