Caroline Muzzarelli is today’s Anna Alderson Nominee!
Nomination 1
Caroline is a dedicated and professional Support Worker who supports her Aged Care Community Based clients with genuine care and gentle manner. Caroline shows empathy in the way that she communicates with clients, regardless of their ability or situation which demonstrates the organisation's value of Respect and being Welcoming. Caroline reports through her concerns for clients in a consistent and professional manner, enabling the Coordinator to follow up as required. An example of this is when Caroline observed during a services that the vulnerable client was feeling stressed about an uninvited family member staying, causing the client distress. Caroline adapted the tasks during the service to support the client in other ways as was needed on the day and shared her concerns with the Coordinator, who was able to check in with the client. The client had a plan of how to ask for help if the situation escalated and had arranged alternate accommodation plans with the family member. The client was appreciative of the concern shown and support provided by Rise and in particular thanks to the initiative taken by Caroline to pass on her observations. Caroline therefore demonstrates all Rise values in the way that she supported this client and her work practice in general. Caroline is an asset to Rise and an example of the quality support workers that support our clients.
