On Monday evening Jan asked staff (in his words), “Can I very please show you something?” and staff said sure!
Jan had got his guitar out and started playing, capturing everyone’s attention.
Staff and residents joined in clapping and jigging along to the music with Caroline saying, “What you doing Steve????” (Often referring to Jan as Steve).
When Jan had finished, staff asked if they could play the guitar, exchanging song ideas.
Jan then mentioned he liked Jimmy Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan. So, they put the guitar away and watched some old footage on YouTube until late.
I can’t wait to see what songs we will play at the next guitar session. A great evening had by all!
