I love my new chair!

Jenny is 69, very independent and still taking mom who is 92 years old out for a coffee every day of the week. They meet the group of regulars at Bassendean Shopping Centre to have a well-deserved cuppa and catch-up. She has three beautiful cats, Missy, Sky and Poppy, whom she loves to the moon and back.
Jenny originally moved into a Rise property in Koongamia in 2002 as part of the Independent Living Program. She moved to a property in Midland approximately around 2006 and then moved to her current address in 2010. She is being supported by Rise Mental Health and Aged Care Teams and has one of the most inspiring recovery stories. Her main hobby at home is beading and she has an extensive collection throughout her home. She loves giving them to people as gifts. If you stand still for long enough, she will bead you too! She is always looking for more items of interest to bead. One of the many favourites are the stereo system and many wall arts.
Late last year Jenny identified that tasks were getting more difficult to complete at home, so the Mental Health Team at Rise triggered a review into her My Aged care plan early in 2021.
One of the many great outcomes of the review was a recommendation for a new recliner, lift chair. Jenny recently received her chair and could not wait to share her appreciation with her Team at Rise.
In short, she stated “Got my chair and love it”.
Jenny, we wish you many more years of safe and comfort living in your beautiful home. You are an inspiration to others.
