Every week, Jess generously donates her time by volunteering at Rise.
She has a busy weekly schedule – including working in an op shop, going horse riding and catching up with friends.
So, we are lucky to have her smiling face around!
Jess loves volunteering
Volunteer coordinator Lisa Begley said Jess is a unique volunteer because she has support with her.
When Jess was in high school her mum approached us to see if there were any positions available.
It formed part of her high school curriculum to volunteer.
Jess is an absolute delight and continues to volunteer, even though she has now finished school.
She loves to attend our volunteer events.
Jess’ support worker Annette said the pair deliver internal mail to Rise Offices each week.
Jess loves volunteering and loves delivering the mail – it’s her favourite day of the week! We’ve been delivering for around a year and a half. She loves meeting new people.
We love Jess’s community spirit! She was also a good sport and recently took part in a photo shoot. It was for our Celebrating People Book 2016-2017.
