Kira House provides a safe, fresh, spacious and confidential 24-hour space for young women aged between 14 and 18 years, who may have accompanying children, but who are leaving a violent family or domestic situation.
The card, addressed to the team who work tirelessly at Kira House to support young women, thanked them for their understanding and support. One poignant line from the card read
I am forever grateful to have been able to meet you all, and I will always hold you in my heart.
This thoughtful thank you serves as a reminder to us all about why we are here and how, with a little bit of time and understanding, we can make a difference.
