While Barbara was unable to attend the Yirra Mia day centre outings earlier this year, she decided to learn how to use a computer with support from her support worker Sarah . Together they have been building on Barbara's skills and now Barbara happy uses email to keep in touch with friends and family, rather then writing letters and waiting for the post. Barbara wanted to learn to use email primarily, but is also mastering navigating around the internet.
