On Thursday the 6th July, Yira Mia Celebrated NAIDOC Week 2023.
Clients and Staff from Wembley, Peter Anderton and Wahroonga Social Centres, along with the Leadership Group, came together to Celebrate our First Nations people.
Yira Mia staff put in a lot of effort creating an obstacle course outside of the building to mimic the courses Aboriginal children used to create and enjoy, which everyone enjoyed trying. There were also other activities such as spear throwing and and hand paintings.
Everyone had the best time joining in on Bush Tucker Tastings, traditional Aboriginal games, raffles and some amazing entertainment from the very talented Michael Spratt and his Nephews!
