Nomination - Dementia Change Champion of the Year 2022
It is with great pleasure and immense amount of pride that I would like to acknowledge Caroline Beales for being nominated as one of the Dementia Change Champions of the Year 2022.
Caroline was successful in being awarded a scholarship on the Dementia Change Champion Leader – Community Program run through Alzheimer’s WA. Over the past 12 months Caroline has diligently attended monthly training sessions and completed many assignments resulting in successful completion of Cert IV Leadership and Innovation in Dementia Services. Caroline has already commenced applying her learnings to her role, providing support, guidance and ongoing education to her aged care colleagues, the people we support and their carers. Next year it is hoped Caroline can be supported to implement positive changes within the organisation to continue on with bringing awareness about Dementia and contemporary support ideas.
Winners of the Dementia Change Champions of the Year will be announced at this years Alzheimer’s WA Symposium, held at the Perth Convention Centre on the 14th November. The Aged Care Team wish Caroline the best of luck
