Volunteering WA Excellence in Volunteer Management award
Our AMAZING volunteer coordinator was recently nominated for the Volunteering WA Excellence in Volunteer Management award and although she missed out on the award, what a great honour to receive such a nomination.
Volunteers are a crucial factor in the successful delivery of Rise’s services, engaging with clients and providing much needed transport, social interaction and a friendly face to those people who are often more marginalised in our community. As such, Lisa and her role are also crucial in the achievement of these outcomes. Her role develops, coordinates and manages the volunteer services across the whole of the organisation, interacting with and supporting the management team to deliver critical services to the aged, people with a disability, youth at risk and people with a mental health condition.
Her role champions, promotes, and ensures recognition of volunteers, not only within the organisation but externally as well. She is always looking for new ways to engage volunteers to provide an enhanced client experience and this nomination is recognition of all of her hard work.
