A great day was had by all the competitors and supporters from Peter Anderton and Centenary House last Tuesday the 28th September.
The average age being in their 90’s did not stop these footballers enjoying fun and an engrossing game of Walking Football at the fresh green grounds in Forrestfield.
The results were so very close but, in the end, it was the green team by 2 points.
Player of the match was awarded to former Collingwood great Bob Ansell for the commitment he showed to the ball, even diving on a couple of occasions. Special mention to Lorraine Murphy for the play of the day, hiding the ball in her walker to stroll past her opponents.
Well done Bob, Lorraine and all the players.
