This Friday, right around the world, workplaces, schools, and the wider community will be dressing up in shades of purple for
Wear It Purple Day.
Founded in 2010, Wear it Purple Day has become an international movement of expression, celebration and support for ‘rainbow’ or LGBTQI young people. It’s about creating a caring, inclusive environment where everyone is valued and no one is treated differently because of who they are.
Show your support for our rainbow young people by adding a splash of purple to your outfit on Friday – whether it’s a hat, scarf, pin or t-shirt. You could even bring in some fun accessories or purple nail polish to share with the people you support.
We’d love to see photos of you and your team wearing purple, so send them in to
communications@risenetwork.com.au.
If you have any suggestions for how Rise can best support the LGBTQI community please email them to Casey, our Right to Belong Champion, at
