YM Commemorates the ANZAC's
Clients and staff at Yirra Mia stopped on Thursday to pay their respects to the fallen ahead of Anzac Day with "The Last Post" and a minute's silence in the social centre at 11am followed by a trip to the local war memorial to lay a wreath after lunch.
At the war memorial the wreath was laid by two of our wonderful clients and a few minutes was spent observing the memorial.
It was touching to have clients and staff come together within the centre to pay their respects. Everyone understands the sacrifices that our war heroes made, and the legacy in which they have left behind over 100 years later and it was a privilege to be present there today! (Aleesha)
